The Milanese won 1-0 (0-0) at Cagliari on Saturday night. Midfielder Ismael Bennacer scored the decisive goal in Sardinia after an hour’s play. Before that, SSC Napoli had initially advanced to the top position with a 2-1 (0-1) home win against Udinese. Milan are now three points ahead of the southern Italians.
Gerard Deulofeu (22′) put Udinese ahead in Napoli, but Victor Osimhen (52′, 63′) turned the game around in favor of Luciano Spalletti’s team. After Pablo Mari was red (82nd), Udinese was outnumbered. The third-placed defending champions Inter Milan only drew 1-1 at home against Fiorentina after goals from Denzel Dumfries (55th) and Lucas Torreira (50th) and are already six points behind their city rivals.
