After the failed winter transfer, Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico is now hoping for a Barca move next summer.
Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico says he is still hoping for a move to FC Barcelona. The Argentine is now targeting a transfer next summer.
“The deal was complicated for the club in January – but I think it will be easier now, in June,” Tagliafico told TNT. According to media reports, the 29-year-old left-back has already changed his agent to force the move to the Catalans.
Tagliafico really wanted to join FC Barcelona in winter
, but Ajax didn’t let the Copa America winner go at the time. A change is all the more likely in the summer, as Tagliafico’s contract expires in 2023 and the Dutch record champions could still generate a transfer fee.
Tagliafico moved from Independiente to Ajax Amsterdam in 2018 for a fee of four million euros. Since then he has won the Dutch championship and the national cup twice.
