WSC/Hertha has to deliver today

“We can’t always talk about promotion, we have to prove it on the pitch,” says WSC/Hertha sports director Gerald Perzy before today’s home game in the regional soccer league against Bad Gleichenberg. After just one point from two games – the most recent duel in Treibach was canceled – the gap between Wels and the second promotion candidate, Sturm Graz II, increased to nine points in the spring. Today, the team from the trade fair city has to deliver – even if Perzy still expresses his confidence in his coach Markus Waldl. “Everyone has to question themselves. I’m not getting nervous now. We got off to a bad start in the fall and fought back.”

There is a curious return today in the Upper Austrian league: Samir Gradascevic announced his resignation as Perg coach after the autumn season – in December he was introduced as the new coach by league rival Pregarten. Today he is a guest with the Neo team at the former club. “We were surprised, but we can understand the reasons for the resignation. We got off to a good start with new coach Jürgen Prandstätter and are very happy with him,” says Perg sports director Thomas Maier.
