Report: RB Leipzig is said to want to get into poker for Erik ten Hag – that’s it

Will Domenico Tedesco’s time at RB Leipzig end again in the summer? According to reports, the Saxons are said to be interested in Erik ten Hag.

RB Leipzig is currently rushing from success to success in the Bundesliga under coach Domenico Tedesco and is the most successful team in 2022. In the Netherlands, however, there is speculation about a change of coach in the summer.

According to consistent reports from the renowned newspaper De Telegraaf and des General Dagblad RB Leipzig is said to have entered poker around Erik ten Hag, the successful coach of Ajax Amsterdam. There is also said to have been a first meeting between club representatives and the coach De Telegraaf.

Ten Hag can leave Ajax in the summer for a moderate transfer fee of two million euros and is considered a release clause.

Will Leipzig now grab what is probably the most sought-after coach in Europe at the moment?

According to information from GOAL and RB were indeed very interested in Ten Hag – after the sacking of Jesse Marsch in December. However, Leipzig signed Domenico Tedesco at the time and gave him a contract until 2023. This is also confirmed by the usually well-informed former Norwegian international and ex-Eintracht Frankfurt professional Jan-Aage Fjörtoft, who now works as a journalist.

RB Leipzig: With Tedesco, the best team in the second half of the season

Just because of the contract period of the former Schalke coach in Leipzig, the reports from the Netherlands could safely be referred to the realm of fables. The success of the team under Tedesco does the rest. RB is in first place in the second half of the table after the clear 29th matchday of the Bundesliga and is on course for the Champions League as fourth in the overall table. Under Tedesco, the team gained 2.17 points. No wonder Leipzig’s officials are very happy with Tedesco.
