“We are in a very delicate situation. The league format with the division of points makes it difficult to build on successes that have already been achieved and to have a little more peace and time for developments. The current table situation and the circumstances behind it are the triggers for this tough decision,” emphasizes SVR President Roland Daxl. “The man and coach Robert Ibertsberger always gave 100 percent for the club. Nevertheless, after the mid-term analysis of the qualifying group, we came to the conclusion that we need a change in the current situation.”

“Of course we as a club have to reflect in order to get more continuity in the coaching position in the future,” explains Thomas Reicheltshammer, sporting director for professionals at SV Guntamatic Ried. “With Christian Heinle we have a young, interesting coach in our own ranks, who already proved himself as head coach in the autumn. We are now going our own way with him, regardless of what happens in the coming weeks and months.”

“It was very surprising and unpredictable for me. I really enjoyed working in the club and with the players. We reached the cup final together and I was convinced that we would hold the league and then have time for the next steps. Unfortunately, that’s no longer possible for me,” says Robert Ibertsberger.
