PSG can no longer take the championship title, curiously enough there will be no new championship star on the jerseys for the coming season.
Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of winning the Ligue 1 title. The star ensemble is one point short of five games remaining. However, despite the milestone of their tenth Ligue 1 championship, PSG players will not sport a new champion star on their kits next season. That reports Le Parisien.
The curious reason: production of the 2022-23 season kit has already started and the star has not been added.
According to the report, however, the club does not rule out designing a special edition that includes a small star in the sign of the tenth championship. However, it should be printed next to the Ligue 1 logo on the sleeve, not above the club crest on the chest.
PSG: The star will probably only be printed if you win a CL
It goes on to say that PSG only want to add the star permanently if they win the Champions League. Arch-rivals Olympique Marseille did the same in 1993.
PSG are top of Ligue 1 with 77 points, a full 15 ahead of second-placed Marseille.
