Doman asks for a list of unity with the ruling party, but without Moyano

After the thrashing suffered on Saturday, the candidate for president for the Independent Unit demanded the resignation of the current president of the club, Hugo Moyano, and of the general secretary, Héctor Maldonado, and the “urgent call for elections.” Or a call to unity to redirect the club.

In dialogue with DirecTV Sports, Doman referred to the current political landscape and stated: “There is political uncertainty about the electoral process, but I think that an election where one sector wins over the other is no longer useful. And whoever wins those elections is speaking. I believe that we all have to join in a single place, a single space”.

And he continued saying: “I don’t have the exact election date, I can’t lie to the partner. It’s not that I’m trading next Sunday’s election for a unity list. I am changing the uncertainty. Faced with this panorama, I say: well, gentlemen, we have to sit down, otherwise we will sit idly by and this is getting worse and worse”.

After the interview, the journalist and driver clarified his position on his Twitter account: “We are working to find a way out and a solution for @Independiente. One, the most urgent is a Unit list with all sectors. That does not mean that I am personally going to share a list with Hugo Moyano. I’ve always said it and I’m not going to change my mind.”

Hours before, Doman, had already made statements along the same lines after the hard setback of Independiente over the weekend.

“Many fill their mouths complaining about Moyano, but when it comes to steaks they are on to something else. Those of us who face Moyano are the ones who are. There are many erased. And I’m not talking about the fans. It is not hard to face Moyano, he is lonely”, he pointed out.

As for the sports present of the team led by Eduardo Domínguez, he was forceful with his position. “How is Independiente going to be comfortable being outside of an area that has teams that have no history in Argentine soccer?”

He also came out in defense of the former coach. “Julio Falcioni was ignored in terms of his numbers with the club. I said that the Independiente fan doesn’t like how Falcioni’s team plays. But you also play to get points, and today they are beating us”, he concluded.
