Together with RB on a fan scarf? SC Freiburg doesn’t think it’s a good idea, preventing the use of its logo for joint fan articles.
Before the DFB Cup final, SC Freiburg banned the use of its logo for joint fan articles with RB Leipzig. That reports the dpa with reference to a corresponding confirmation from the Freiburg press department, which did not give any reason for the step.
The ban is likely to be related to the controversial structure of the club, which was founded in 2009 and is supported by millions of Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz. SC Freiburg, on the other hand, is a classic registered club.
BVB Leipzig has also refused to use the logo
The cancellation was preceded by a request from Leipzig before the semi-finals as to whether the Freiburg logo could be used in the event of a final. Freiburg’s inferior semi-final opponent Hamburger SV would have the use according to picture agreed.
As part of the final in Berlin on May 21, no matchday scarves with the real logos of the two final opponents will be offered. There was a similar case after Leipzig’s promotion to the Bundesliga in 2016, when Borussia Dortmund issued a corresponding ban.
