Bundesliga: BVB runners-up for the eighth time, Cologne loses and still celebrates

Bayer Leverkusen has qualified for the Champions League, and 1. FC Köln and Union Berlin will also be playing internationally next season. On the penultimate day of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen won 4-2 at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and are therefore definitely in the premier class. For SC Freiburg, on the other hand, there was a setback in the fight for the premier class with the 1: 4 against Union Berlin. This means that the Breisgauers can lose their place in the Champions League to RB Leipzig on Sunday.

Neighborhood help on the Rhine

Thanks to the success, Union is again safe in the European Cup, just like 1. FC Köln despite the 0:1 (0:1) home defeat against VfL Wolfsburg. FC benefited from the neighborhood help from Leverkusen in Hoffenheim. With the defeat, TSG missed their last chance of winning the European Cup.

In the last first division home game, Greuther Fürth conceded another defeat against Borussia Dortmund with the 1:3 (0:1). Julian Brandt (26′) put Dortmund ahead with a sweep and also scored two minutes after Jessic Ngankam equalized (70′).
