The next contract extension at FC Bayern is official: substitute keeper Sven Ulreich has signed a new working paper in Munich.
FC Bayern Munich has extended goalkeeper Sven Ulreich’s contract, which expires on June 30, by a further year until 2023. This was officially announced by the record champions on Saturday evening.
“We’re happy that Sven is staying at Bayern for another year,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. “He fits perfectly into our group with his character and mentality. Sven has an excellent understanding of his role and is always there when you need him.”
. The working paper of keeper Manuel Neuer is also to be expanded.
Sven Ulreich: “FC Bayern has become like a family”
His representative Ulreich returned to FCB last summer after a year at Hamburger SV. The 33-year-old has made eight appearances for Munich so far this season.
“FC Bayern has become like a family over the years. I’m looking forward to another year here,” said Ulreich, adding: “I enjoy the task behind a world goalkeeper like Manuel Neuer, we have a friendly, collegial relationship with each other .”
Before his detour to HSV, Ulreich was number two at Bayern from 2015 to 2020. In total, the former Stuttgarter has played 78 competitive games for the 32-time German champions.
