Alan Soñora opened the scoring with a free kick 21 minutes into the first half, the Ecuadorian Juan Cazares widened the lead (42m. ST) and Leandro Fernández sentenced the result (43m. ST), they scored to celebrate Independiente’s third victory in the championship.
The result left Huracán in sixth place with 18 points, with no chance of playing in the quarterfinals, something that they would have achieved with a victory due to the defeats of Tigre and Aldosivi from Mar del Plata, who despite this ensured their presence among top eight.
With his victory, Independiente avoided the risk of finishing last in his zone and finished his participation with 16 units.

In the first half, Independiente hinted at being more offensive and after 5 minutes they generated a situation with a Damián Batallini cross from the right that Julián Romero headed wide.
At 21, he took the lead through a free kick goal that Soñora executed with his left foot to the left corner of the Huracán goal.
At this stage, Tomás Pozzo became the playmaker of the offensive situations for the “Diablo”, while Huracán fell into a state of confusion as a result of the goal, except for some outings by Gauto and Rodrigo Cabral.
In the complement, those led by Frank Kudelka came out with better handling of the ball, they found spaces on the right with Gauto, but they did not have precision or depth.
Huracán was able to equalize at 31 minutes when Jhonatan Candia kicked a free kick that Sosa demanded deflected and at 33 minutes a center by Mateo Bajamich, which Cóccaro headed over the crossbar.
From the bench, Independiente found the solution to define the story: first with an accurate definition by Cazares and then with a dribble by Leandro Fernández to Marcos Díaz inside the area, after capitalizing on an exit error by Santiago Hezze.
