Lewandowski successor: Jerome Boateng brings Harry Kane into conversation at Bayern

Around FC Bayern, many strikers are traded as successors to Robert Lewandowski. Ex-player Jerome Boateng thinks of a big solution.

Olympique Lyonnais defender Jerome Boateng has brought up Tottenham striker Harry Kane at his former club Bayern Munich as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

“Personally, I would try to get Harry Kane at Bayern immediately. That’s my opinion. For me, he’s a complete striker who scores his goals at Tottenham every day,” said the ex-national player sky. He added: “In a very good, but not world-class team.”

If the 28-year-old Kane played “in a team like FC Bayern”, according to Boateng it would be “a great replacement at a very good football age”. “But that’s up to Bayern Munich,” concluded Boateng.

Does Lewandowski go in the summer? “Enough time to get a replacement”

Boateng did not want to predict whether the Pole will leave the German record champions for the new season: “It is important that both sides are satisfied in the end. It looks like Robert wants to leave in the summer. FC Bayern say at the moment : ‘No’. That’s understandable, but they have plenty of time in the summer to make sure to get replacements.”

Kane, who has scored 26 goals in 49 competitive games this season, has a contract with Spurs until 2024.
