The tournament is governed by the FIP (International Padel Federation) and backed by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).

The presentation took place in the auditorium of the Aconcagua Arena stadium and was attended by the Undersecretary of Sports, Federico Chiapetta; the Capital Mayor, Ulpiano Suarez and the president of the Argentine Padel Association (APA), Santiago Britowho gave details of what the world event will be.

Brito highlighted the predisposition of those responsible for sport in Mendoza to hold the event and remarked that they are “working on all the details of this date.”

“The idea of ​​doing it in such a large stadium is for it to be a massive event, for it to be an event for the people, for all the surrounding provinces, for the entire country and we hope it will be a great party for paddle tennis, which will be can enjoy with the family,” he assured.

Regarding the stadium, he specified: “It will have three courts, a central one and two close ones, all classifications will be played here. It is contemplating that more than 43 games will take place throughout the entire tournament.”

In his turn, Chiapetta, expressed: “It is an honor for the Government of the Province, together with the Mayor Ulpiano Suárez, to jointly organize the most important padel tournament in the world. I thank Santiago Brito for the trust in the Province and in the City of Mendoza, to host an event of this magnitude. We have good infrastructure, good services, gastronomy, hotels and countless attractions that make the province a unique destination”.

“This tournament has generated great expectations, not only in Mendoza but in various provinces of the region. Surely we will receive many tourists and lovers of this sport,” the official completed.

Meanwhile, Mayor Suárez stressed that “this tournament is very important to continue positioning the province of Mendoza and the City as the venue for these great events, in this case sports.”

“The best of world padel will be in Mendoza and we will be able to promote the province as a sports destination,” he said.

Premier Padel is the only tour to offer official ranking points to players, and P1 tournaments will award winners 2,000 points, along with record-breaking prize money, in line with all P1 events. The best 20 couples in the world will play, in total 48 couples will be presented.

Regarding the sale of tickets, Brito explained that on May 25 there will be a pre-sale for members of the Argentine Padel Association and then the general ticket sale will begin. Prices will start at 2 thousand pesos and they will seek to make agreements with banks, to be able to acquire them in installments.
