Bernardo Silva allegedly on FC Barcelona’s wish list – future at Grealish transfer open

Bernardo Silva’s future at City seems unclear should Jack Grealish switch to the Skyblues. FC Barcelona probably want to strike.

The Portuguese international Bernardo Silva could allegedly leave his current club Manchester City this summer. As the Sports world reported, FC Barcelona has made Silva a priority and a first exchange is said to have already taken place.

The future of the 26-year-old with the Citizens seems open, should the transfer of Jack Grealish take place. The move of the English international from Aston Villa to the club around coach Pep Guardiola is apparently nearing completion.

Bernardo Silva: Contract with City runs for another four years

For a transfer, however, Barca would have to dig deep into their pockets, because Silva’s contract in Manchester is dated until the summer of 2025.

Silva moved from AS Monaco to England in 2017 and has so far played 201 competitive games for the Skyblues. He was directly involved in 79 hits.

The Catalans are still struggling with the Spanish league’s salary cap, which has so far prevented the club from registering the newcomers to Sergio Agüero and Memphis Depay. In addition, the official announcement of the contract extension with Lionel Messi is still a long time coming. However, an unexpected rain of money through the league could solve these problems.

Sales will have to be made before Barcelona can sign more players. The first candidates are world champion Samuel Umtiti and midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
