Rumors have already circulated, now it’s official: Niko Kovac is returning to the Bundesliga and taking over in Wolfsburg.
Niko Kovac returns to the Bundesliga as head coach and takes over VfL Wolfsburg. The wolves officially announced this on Tuesday morning.
“I’m really looking forward to making a difference and being successful together with my coaching team in Wolfsburg,” said Kovac. “The team has enormous potential and the conditions for optimal and successful work are in place.”
Wolfsburg: Niko Kovac with a contract until 2025
Kovac has been given a contract in the VW city until 2025 after being without a club after being released from AS Monaco at the turn of the year.
The 50-year-old follows Florian Kohfeldt, who took over the club from Mark van Bommel last October.
