Villa: the doctor declared that there was no record of injuries compatible with sexual abuse

The doctor gave a testimonial statement via Zoom before the prosecutors veronica perez and its attached Vanessa Gonzalezof the Functional Unit of Instructions (UFI) 3 of Esteban Echeverría, Specialized in Family and Gender Violence, Sexual Abuse and Crimes Related to Human Trafficking.

A judicial source explained to Télam that The witness acknowledged that she signed the medical certificate in which it was recorded that the complainant stated that she felt pain in the genital area, but that said report did not detail the existence of injuries compatible with sexual abuse..

The doctor indicated that “a normal gynecological examination” was performed and that, if she had detected any injury compatible with sexual abuse, she would have recorded it in the certificate because the protocol for these cases requires it, said a judicial spokesman.

On the other hand, for the complainant’s lawyer, Robert Castillothe witness’s statement was “contradictory” and, in this sense, she said that the doctor declared that she did not remember having assisted the victim because she attends to 35 people a day and that another doctor could have attended her.

In any case, according to the lawyer, the witness recognized his signature on the medical certificate.

For her part, the 26-year-old complainant appeared in the courts of Lomas de Zamora where she was interviewed by the interdisciplinary team of the Victim Assistance Center that depends on the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) of that judicial department.

For this reason, the prosecutors wait for the next few hours for the experts to present the victimological report with the results of that interview.

According to the young woman’s complaint, she was treated by the gynecologist at Penna Hospital who testified as a witness one day after the event and that the doctor suggested that she go make the complaint, something that she did not do at that time out of fear.

This doctor’s statement should have been made last Friday, but that day the professional excused herself, explaining that she was traveling in the province of Mendoza and that she did not feel well to make a testimonial by video call.

Meanwhile, yesterday a psychological expertise carried out on the young woman was added to the file, which concluded that the complainant presents “indicators of sexual abuse” and a “post-traumatic stress disorder” and that she was not telling stories.

The complaint against Villa was filed in writing on the 13th of this month at UFI 3 in Esteban Echeverría, and three days later the complainant ratified it in person at the prosecutor’s office.

The victim told, first in writing and then at the prosecutor’s office, that the event occurred on the night of June 26, 2021, in the “Venado II” country house in the Buenos Aires town of Canning where the soccer player lived and after a barbecue from which other players from the xeneixe squad had participated.

According to the complaint, Villa had consumed “a lot of alcohol” and began to reproach him for suspecting that he liked them or that he had been with other players on the campus.

After having a strong discussion, both left the place and went to the soccer player’s house together with a security employee and a friend of the soccer player and there she said that Villa locked her in a room, sexually abused her and tried to suffocate her.

The young woman presented as evidence some exchanges of messages where Villa apologized for what happened and justified himself by saying that he had “drank a lot” and also denounced that the soccer player sent him $ 5,000 so that he did not make any complaint, a sum that he later returned.

For his part, the judge of Guarantees 2 of Lomas de Zamora, Javier Maffucci Moore, issued a precautionary measure that includes a perimeter restriction and impediment of contact from Villa to the victim, but rejected a request for a ban on leaving the country for the soccer player. , since it was adopted in the previous case for gender violence against her ex-partner last year and is still in force.
