Association director as coach

The OÖFV official has been active as a trainer for his home club Allhaming/Weißkirchen 1b for four weeks now. After the resignation of Michael Gondosch, the district league south club was forced to act – and approached the head of the association. “If it wasn’t my home club, I certainly wouldn’t have done it under the circumstances,” says Koch.

He doesn’t see a conflict between his official role in the association and his role as a coach: “There is no conflict. But I should actually have other appointments during the week than being on the training ground three times a week. It’s also clear that it’s just a help until the end of the season.” Hopefully with a positive result: Despite yesterday’s 2:6 against their direct competitor Ohlsdorf, the chance of staying up in the league is still alive.
