Despite having just won the Champions League with Real Madrid, Toni Kroos wasn’t exactly forgiving in the post-match interview.
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos angrily broke off an interview on ZDF despite the joy of the 1-0 win in the Champions League final against Liverpool.
“You had 90 minutes to think about sensible questions, honestly,” Kroos hissed at the ZDF reporter after he asked him whether the final victory surprised him because of Liverpool’s overwhelming superiority at times. “Now you’re going to ask me two shitty questions like that. It’s no surprise you’ve been in trouble against Liverpool.”

When the reporter then wanted to ask about the same topic again, Kroos waved his hand in exasperation and left.
For Kroos, who was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes and put in a strong performance, it was his fifth Champions League triumph overall and his fourth with Real. Vinicius Junior had scored the decisive goal in the 59th minute of the Paris final.
