Ex-super talent Bojan Krkic signs with Vissel Kobe

Bojan Krkic’s odyssey through the vastness of football continues. Now the former super talent has ended up in Japan.

Former super talent Bojan Krkic continues his journey through world football. The now 30-year-old signed a contract with Vissel Kobe, as the Japanese club announced. Krkic had been without a club since the beginning of the year after his working paper at CF Montreal in the North American professional league MLS expired.

In Kobe, where Lukas Podolski also played for a few years, Krkic meets Andres Iniesta (37). Both played together at FC Barcelona between 2007 and 2011. “Iniesta is special to me and I’m happy to play with him again. I want to score a lot of goals with him,” said Krkic after signing his contract.

Krkic was considered a huge talent

Krkic was once considered one of the greatest talents in world football. The Spaniard made his debut for Barca in 2007 at the age of 17 and caused a sensation in his first season with ten league goals. But he did not make the breakthrough. In 2011 he moved to AS Roma, but he could not assert himself there either.

This was followed by positions at AC Milan, Ajax Amsterdam and Stoke City, before he also played for 1. FSV Mainz 05 for half a year. After another unsuccessful loan to Deportivo Alaves, Krkic moved to Canada. Kobe is now his ninth station on the third continent.
