Besiktas struck twice on the transfer market – two players for the offensive will strengthen the Istanbul club.
The Turkish top club Besiktas Istanbul has on its Twitter-Canal announced the two transfers of Rachid Ghezzal (29) and Alex Teixeira (31). The Brazilian Teixeira is already in Istanbul, Ghezzal will be there shortly.
Teixeira, the offensive player who was once under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk and most recently with Jiangsu in China, was spotted and picked up by the Black Eagles on Monday Twitter photographed. According to reports, Teixeira has been awarded a three-year contract and will earn around three million euros annually.
At the Ukrainian club Shakhtar, Teixeira was once sold to the Chinese Super League for 50 million euros. Most recently he was without a club for half a year. Before he can play for Besiktas, he first has to go into quarantine at home and will therefore not be able to play at the start of the season next weekend.
Besiktas: Ghezzal returns to the Turkish master
A second “newcomer” to the ranks of the Turkish defending champions is Rachid Ghezzal, who played on loan in Istanbul last season. The Leicester City midfielder is reportedly set to cost around € 3.2million.
The Algerian is expected in Istanbul on Tuesday to sign his contract. In the 2020/21 season he made 31 games in the Süper Lig and collected a whopping 26 points scorer (eight goals, 18 assists). Berlin Hertha is said to have also tried to get the 29-year-old.
