The Steyr team set an exclamation mark

On Thursday, the 12th Tour of Upper Austria, the largest local road bike race of the year, starts. The local heroes from the Steyrer Hrinkow team are well warmed up for this. Jonas Rapp and Rainer Kepplinger achieved a double victory at the Tour of Malopolska, a race in the same UCI category as the home event that followed.

On the king’s stage, the team showed solid strength. Jaka Primozic reduced the lead to 15 men on the final climb, then Kepplinger maintained the pace before Captain Rapp took charge and secured the overall victory two seconds ahead of the former World Cup rower and team-mate.

Bayer third in Belgium

Tobias Bayer (Alpecin) also benefited from his good form after the Giro d’Italia in the well-rewarded Brussels Cycling Classic. The 22-year-old from Straß im Attergau finished third in Belgium.
