Because rights holder Sky has not only agreed with ORF on an extension of highlight reporting until 2026. ORF will also broadcast four co-exclusive live games per season in the future. Sky continues to show all 195 games of the men’s Bundesliga both as individual games and in conference broadcasts.
Neal O’Rourke, Managing Director of Sky Austria, described the ORF in a broadcast as a “strategic partner” with whom we like to work a lot. “We are therefore pleased that we will continue to cooperate successfully in the sporting field,” said O’Rourke. “For the ORF, reporting on the domestic Bundesliga is an essential part of all ORF media,” stated ORF General Director Roland Weißmann. The agreement with Sky on the cooperation in the coming years is all the more gratifying.
It has not yet been decided which four games from the Admiral Bundesliga will be broadcast live on ORF. The game selection is only made in coordination with Sky. The highlight summary of all games should continue to appear promptly after the end of the game in ORF 1.
