Union Dietach fixed promotion to the Upper Austrian league in the Landesliga Ost last weekend. A league below, in the district league east, the big final will take place next weekend.
The SK Amateure Steyr and the Union Bad Hall fight in a long-distance duel for second place in the table, which entitles them to the relegation games for promotion to the national league. In the other direction, on the other hand, it could go for the second representation of SK Vorwarts Steyr. In a direct duel with Schiedlberg, a draw is enough for the SPG SK Forwards/ATSV Juniors to stay up in the league. If FC Aschach lost and won against Mitterkirchen at the same time, it would go straight down to the 1st class east.
“It’s going to be a hot game. We have to accept the fight, show determination and courage. There is no beauty prize to be won in this game,” says Forward 1b coach Manfred Rabenhaupt, who is toying with the idea of standing up for himself again to nominate a starting eleven. The game starts at the ATSV facility in Münichholz on Saturday at 5 p.m.
At the same time, SK Amateure meets Leonding at Lauberleite and, if they win, they have to hope for a fall from Bad Hall, who meets Asten at home.
