The Austria keeper played for the first time in the ÖFB team against Denmark (1-2) on Monday. In defence, Stefan Lainer, Gernot Trauner and Maximilian Wöber are returning to the starting line-up, which they had been part of when team boss Ralf Rangnick made his debut at the beginning of the month in Croatia (3-0).
The midfielders Konrad Laimer and Xaver Schlager are also in the third international match under Rangnick in the ÖFB starting lineup. This is completed by captain and defense chief David Alaba, Marcel Sabitzer, Nicolas Seiwald, Andreas Weimann and Marko Arnautovic. In the case of the French, star striker Kylian Mbappe is initially only on the bench after his knee injury. Alaba’s Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, on the other hand, was called up by coach Didier Deschamps in attack from the start.
