Ralf Rangnick suffered his second defeat in his fourth game as Austria’s national soccer coach. With strong Danes, the Austrians lost 0:2 (0:2).

Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind (21st minute) and Andreas Skov Olsen (37th) scored the goals in Copenhagen. After the third win, Denmark continues to lead the Nations League Group 1.

Second is Vice World Champion Croatia, who won 1-0 (1-0) in France in revenge for the 2018 World Cup final. Midfield star Luka Modric marked the decisive goal in Paris in the fifth minute with a penalty kick. Ex-Leipziger Ibrahima Konaté had previously stepped on the heel of a Croatian in the penalty area. World champion France remains without a win and is bottom of the group.

Rangnick may not have been satisfied with the performance of his Austrians either. The Danes dominated the game from the start, the ÖFB selection hardly had any chances. After a nice combination, Wind initially took the lead from a short distance. Then Skov Olsen followed up after a quick counterattack. Shortly before the end, substitute Christian Eriksen (88th) almost made it 3-0. But his shot hit the post.
