Karim Adeyemi talks about being sorted out at Bayern Munich and does not rule out a return to the German record champions.
In an interview with the kicker looked back on his time in the Munich youth clubs. The Salzburg professional moved to Austria from SpVgg Unterhaching in 2018.
Adeyemi had to leave the FC Bayern youth team in 2011 after two years. “I can’t really remember it. Bayern had decided to sort me out,” said the German U21 international.
He then returned to TSV Forstenried. “I was a child and just wanted to play football. And I quickly found that joy in my home club,” he said.
He later moved from Unterhaching to Austria for 3.35 million euros. In the beginning, however, he was afraid of leaving home. “It was important to me that I didn’t go so far from home. It’s only an hour and a half from Munich to Salzburg. That’s why it worked really well.”
Adeyemi does not rule out Bayern’s return
He doesn’t hold a grudge against the former club: “I never said that I didn’t like Bayern because of my time there or anything like that.” He therefore does not want to rule out a return.
But first he wants to prove himself at Red Bull Salzburg. “It is really important to me how the coming season goes. We will see what happens in the next few years. When the time comes, the next step will be taken. Or not,” said Adeyemi.
