Boca will visit Barracas Central tomorrow: schedule, referee and TV

The “Xeneize” team that he directs Sebastian Battaglia has 6 points in the domestic tournament, the product of two victories, the most recent over Tigre (5-3) last Wednesday, and a surprising defeat in Santiago del Estero against the local Central Córdoba.

Their rival, Barracas Central, began the tournament with draws against the people from Santiago and Tigre, and last date lost in Floresta with Unión de Santa Fe (2-1).

In its last presentation, Boca showed two diametrically opposed faces, one when it attacked with an unbalanced offensive trio made up of Colombian Sebastián Villa, Exequiel Zeballos from Santiago and Darío Benedetto, who wreaked havoc in Tigre’s defense.

The other image that Boca left behind was a certain defensive fragility, especially due to the right sector occupied by Marcelo Weigandt and Nicolás Figal, who will leave the team, as will the promising youngster Aaron Molinas, in this case not because of poor performance but because he is in conditions to play from the beginning the Paraguayan Oscar Romero.

The changes that Battaglia will have will be the income of Luis Advíncula, Carlos Izquierdoz and Romero for the aforementioned Weigandt, Figal and Molinas.

Battaglia’s intention is to put his best formation on the field against Barracas Central, the one that will face Corinthians on June 28 in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores round of 16.

In that sense, to visit Corinthians in San Pablo, the only variant in relation to the team that will play in Floresta will be the entry of Agustín “Gusa” Sandez on the left side instead of Colombian Frank Fabra, who will have to purge a suspension date for having reached three yellow cards during the group stage.

So this Sunday’s game in Floresta will not be one more, but a kind of test tube for Battaglia who wants to give a formation that will logically find a higher-ranking rival in Corinthians.

His rival, the “Guapo”, will also touch up his formation, because the coach Alfredo Berti was not satisfied with what was exposed before the Santa Fe.

In this context, Maximiliano Rodríguez, Iván Tapia, Neri Bandiera, Bruno Sepúlveda and Pablo Mouche will be starters instead of Jonathan Blanco, Fernando Valenzuela, Juan Manuel Vázquez, Sebastián Rincón and Junior Arias, while Gonzalo Paz and if he does not recover, he will leave his place to Thomas Gutiérrez.

Barracas Central is aware that it must add as many points as possible to stay in the category after being promoted this season, although in the table of averages that will determine the two relegation to the First National it is very well placed thanks to the good campaign that starred in the last League Cup that consecrated Boca champion.

In the League Cup, both teams shared Zone B and met in La Bombonera, with Boca winning 2-0 with two goals scored by “Pipa” Benedetto, although the match was even and was defined by small details.

Boca beat Barracas the five times they met throughout history, the previous ones consecutively in 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930.
