Christine Thürmer is one of the most hikers in the world: in just a few years she has walked 49,000 kilometers. In an interview, she talks about how digitization has revolutionized hiking and gives equipment tips.

Ms. Thürmer, in 12 years you have walked 49,000 kilometers. Has the corona virus put a damper on your hiking plans?
Actually, this year I wanted to run from Germany across the Balkans to Greece. Sometimes I would have to pass through non-EU countries, I can forget that for now. Now I’m rescheduling and would like to hike via Switzerland through Italy to Sicily.
