There was a big surprise when Miroslav Klose was introduced as coach of the first division club Altach last week. The 44-year-old world champion of 2014 takes up his first head coaching position in men’s football in Ländle.
At Vorarlberg, the German follows in the footsteps of Ludovic Magnin, who moved to Lausanne. Klose’s appointment in Altach also surprised the German media, and the response was correspondingly large.
