In the past few days, the reports had already accumulated, now it’s fixed: Mario Götze is moving from PSV Eindhoven to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 30-year-old agrees with coach Oliver Glasner’s club on a contract until the summer of 2025. The club did not provide any information about the transfer fee. The media reported four million euros. Before his two years with the Netherlands, the midfielder was engaged at Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern.
“The fact that a player like Mario Götze has made numerous offers with conviction for Eintracht Frankfurt speaks for the outstanding image that the club has developed in recent years,” said sporting director Markus Krösche on the club’s website.
“The talks with Markus Krösche and Oliver Glasner quickly showed that we have and are pursuing the same goals and ideas. This club has a great foundation,” said Götze.
