At the swimming world championships in Budapest on Wednesday there was an incident in the decision in the free solo freestyle of the synchronized swimmers. Immediately before the appearance of Austria’s synchronized swimmer Vasiliki Alexandri, the American Anita Alvarez caused a moment of shock. The 25-year-old sank unconscious after her freestyle and had to be rescued from the pool by her trainer and another person. “She’s fine,” said a US team supervisor a few minutes after the incident, adding that she was overwhelmed by the stress. “It happens to her more often,” said Alexandri, her freestyle was not affected by it.
