After the PGA, the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) is now taking action against the “golf rebels”. All those players who took part in the London inaugural tournament of the new Saudi Arabia-funded LIV golf series at the Centurion Club have been fined £100,000 (around €116,000). “Every action in life has consequences and it’s no different in professional sport, especially when a person chooses to break the rules. That’s exactly what happened here by several of our members,” shared DP World Tour President Keith Pelley in a broadcast on Friday. “Your actions are not fair to the majority of our members and undermine the tour, which is why we are taking the actions announced today.”
