Michy Batshuayi’s fifth loan station is in Turkey: The Chelsea striker is on loan for Besiktas this season.
Chelsea FC has awarded Michy Batshuayi to Turkish double winner Besiktas for the current season. The eagles announced this on Wednesday via social media.
For Batshuayi it is the fifth loan deal in his time with the Blues, with whom he signed his first contract in 2016. The attacker had previously been loaned to Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and twice to Crystal Palace.
Besiktas secures purchase option for Batshuayi
After the record transfer of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, the competition on the offensive is enormous at Chelsea, so that Batshuayi would probably have only made a few appearances this season.
Before he left for Turkey, Batshuayi extended his contract with the Blues until 2023, according to media reports, but Besiktas secured a purchase option for the 27-year-old, which will cost between six and twelve million euros next summer.
