Portugal’s João Moutinho has extended his contract for another season with Wolverhampton until June 2023, the English Football League club coached by Bruno Lage announced on Monday.

After ending his Wolves contract at the end of June, the experienced 35-year-old Portuguese midfielder has agreed to a contract extension with the club, for which he will play for a fifth consecutive season.

João Moutinho arrived at Wolverhampton in 2018 from French Monaco and has since been one of the undisputed players of the English squad, first under Nuno Espirito Santo between 2018 and 2021 and since last season with Bruno. Lying behind the wheel.
