New striker to eliminate offensive weaknesses of the SKV

0: 3 against the Swedish first division sixth Kalmar FF, 0: 6 against league rival FC Liefering, 0: 8 against Sparta Prague II, 1: 3 against the German third division club Zwickau and 1: 5 against the Scottish Europa Conference League starter Motherwell FC – in the preparatory games for the second division season, which starts on July 22nd with the home game against Rapid Vienna II, SK Verwarts Steyr was not yet able to build on the spring performance. Especially on the offensive, the red and white were not powerful enough.

Test players were responsible for both goals so far. One of them, 26-year-old Tobias Pellegrini from Linz, is said to help ease coach Daniel Madlener’s concerns. The 1.80 meter tall center forward has been signed for a year. He scored the consolation goal against Zwickau and provided an assist against Motherwell. Pellegrini played in Austria’s youth national teams up to the U19s and made his professional debut for LASK Juniors before a broken ankle threw him back. Most recently, he got back into shape at FC Wels in the regional league.
