Linz gets a striker from the AHL

The Steinbach Black Wings have strengthened themselves with two-time ECHL champion Shawn St-Amant. The 25-year-old last played in the AHL for Laval Rocket (14 games, two goals, four assists) and the Trois-Riveres Lions in the ECHL (36/20/10). In the 2020/21 season, the French-Canadian completed a season in the first division in Gyergyoi (Romania), in which he scored 32 goals and provided 16 assists in 57 games.

The people of Linz are looking forward to a “real weapon” in the team. “In addition, he brings a lot of speed and wit with him,” chief scout Rick Nasheim was quoted as saying in a broadcast on Wednesday.
