Bayern Munich: World footballer Lewandowski is the last to train

Robert Lewandowski, who definitely wants to join FC Barcelona, wears FC Bayern’s new away shirt during training. The world footballer does his duty professionally.

Robert Lewandowski took his time when he returned to FC Bayern’s training ground. The world footballer was the last Munich star to stroll out of the cabin wing and start work.

In the new Bayern away jersey, however, he was often seen away from his teammates during the session under the instructions of coach Julian Nagelsmann, but he also chatted briefly with national player Leon Goretzka or members of the coaching staff. However, Lewandowski did not radiate any anticipation for a ninth season as a goalscorer for the German record champion – almost nobody believes in this scenario anymore anyway.

FC Barcelona is working on a mega million offer

Lewandowski, who arrived at the meeting point on Säbener Strasse a few minutes after the other players, definitely wants to go to FC Barcelona. The Catalans are reportedly working hard on a new mega-million offer for the 33-year-old super striker. With a fee of 50 million euros plus possible bonus payments, approval from the Bayern bosses should be achieved. So far, their “Basta” change ban and the announcement that the Pole must fulfill his contract, which is dated June 30, 2023, have officially applied. But an offer in the speculated amount could bring new movement into the negotiations.

It remains an exciting week for FC Bayern, in which every training session could be Lewandowski’s last. If the club bosses can agree on a fee, the transfer will take place quickly. It is therefore also unclear whether Lewandowski will appear at the Munich team presentation on July 16 in the Allianz Arena. Two days later, the star ensemble travels to the USA for a week, where FC Barcelona is also staying. The Catalans are expected to travel with around €55m new Leeds United winger Raphinha, whose signing is imminent.

Lewandowski wants clarity quickly

Lewandowski also wants clarity as quickly as possible. After provocative statements a few weeks ago about the end of his “story at FC Bayern” or that he “could not imagine further good cooperation”, he is now trying not to fuel the delicate situation any further. Lewandowski, who is considered a model professional, should therefore not have sought a strike.

In addition to Lewandowski, captain Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernández & Co. returned to the training ground on Wednesday. Like Lewandowski, they had completed the usual performance tests the day before.

As with Lewandowski, there was no real news for central defender Matthijs de Ligt, who was courted by FC Bayern. Here Juventus Turin demands more than the people of Munich want to pay so far. According to Italian media, Juve want to get at least 90 million for De Ligt. Bayern reportedly offers about 60 million plus bonuses.
