At the “Pro Beach Battle” national and international top teams gave their rendezvous, the spectators rewarded it with a full center court at the lido. The victories in the Spusu Arena went to Upper Austria’s women’s top duo Eva Freiberger/Stephanie Wiesmeyr and the World Cup round of 16 players Robin Seidl/Philipp Waller.
In the quarter-finals, Seidl/Waller initially won 2-0 in sets against local hero Florian Schnetzer and partner Lorenz Petutschnig, in the semi-finals they defeated the Carinthian duo Maximilian Trummer/Felix Friedl. In the final they turned a 0:1 deficit against the top seeded Czechs David Perusic/Ondrej Schweiner into a 2:1. Freiberger/Wiesmeyr had the upper hand in the final against Lia Berger/Marie Bruckner 2:0.
