Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 40, extended his one-year contract with AC Milan on Monday, the Italian champions announced.

The update for the striker, who turns 41 in October, is all the more important given that the player underwent surgery on his left anterior cruciate ligament on May 25 and is predicted to go six to seven months without a game.

Several media outlets are reporting that Ibrahimovic will earn a million and a half euros this season, and this amount can be backed up by the number of games played and goals scored.
