‘It was the worst consequence imaginable’: Son reacts to father’s death in fight with youth in Odivelas

The son of the man who died after the attack in Odivelas has already reacted on social media. Hugo Lourenço says his father drove past a dog and that he had a disagreement with a group of young people.

According to the son of the victim, one of the attackers hit the elderly man with his fist, he fell helplessly and hit his head hard on the ground. “NotWe could not name either the reason for the discussion or the content of the exchanged words,” he added.

In a Facebook post, Hugo Lourenço reports that ” the aggressor was immediately reprimanded for his act, either by the members of the group to which he belonged, or by another group of young people who were nearby.”

The father, who received a severe head injury, was helped by people passing by before the arrival of INEM.

“Contrary to other versions that I have read, my father was not attacked by a group of people, he was not subjected to constant beatings and was not abandoned on the spot. By all accounts, what happened was the worst consequence of a strike imaginable,” concluded Hugo Lourenço.
