Manuel Mota, 45, a member of the Braga Football Association, will have Luciano Maia and Inacio Pereira as assistant referees, António Nobre as fourth referee, and video referee (VAR) Hugo Miguel, assisted by Fabio Verissimo and Pedro Martins, the Portuguese Football Federation said.
FC Porto, champion and winner of the 2021/22 Copa de Portugal, faces the losing Copa finalist Tondela, a team that was 17th and penultimate in the last championship and relegated to the Football League II.
The Dragons hold the record for most Super Cup titles with 22, far ahead of Sporting CP with nine, Benfica with eight, Boavista with three and Vitória de Guimarães with one, while Tondela makes his debut in the competition.
