Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F300, chassis 187, is the only one in which the seven-time world champion went undefeated in 1998. This car participated in four races with it: the Canadian, French, British and Italian Grand Prix, and won all four, although it could only achieve pole position at Monza.
Despite being invincible, this Michael Schumacher car was taken as a reserve to some races, but never returned to the circuits. It is the only Ferrari chassis that has been used in more than three races and has remained unbeatable.
The Ferrari F300 that will be auctioned for around 6 million dollars – although they believe it could be more – is equipped with the original 3.0-liter V10 engine, which produces 800 horsepower at 17,500 rpm.
The car remained in Ferrari’s possession until 1999, when it was sold to the previous owner, including all bodywork, tires and engine. Since then, no changes have been made to the car, so it comes fitted with the low-downforce rear wing that the Maranello team decided to use at the 1998 Italian GP at Monza.
In addition, the auction will feature cars that predate World War I, as well as a 2008 Lamborghini Reventón, as well as various race cars: Jeff Gordon’s NASCAR car that he drove between 2002 and 2004, or the Nissan Skyline from 1994 that participated in the Japanese Super GT.
