This Wednesday, V. Guimarães beat Hajduk Split (1:0) at home, but did not qualify for the playoffs for promotion to the Conference League.
The defeat (1-3) in the first match was decisive for the outcome of the draw. In Guimarães, the Minho team tried to reverse the result brought from Croatia.
From the very beginning, Guimarães was looking for a goal, which happened in the fifth minute. Anderson hit the net.
The Croatians balanced the game and danger surrounded both goals. However, the highlight after 1-0 turns into contempt. They started in the first half with Thiago Silva, who was sent off in the second half. In the end, there were differences in the elements of the two teams. Chairs were also thrown at D. Afonso Henriques after riots provoked on Tuesday by supporters of the Hajduk split in Guimarães.
