Falcao leaves Galatasaray – move to Rayo Vallecano is likely to be imminent

Falcao and Galatasaray go their separate ways after two years. The Colombian striker is now apparently drawn to Spain.

Star striker Radamel Falcao will no longer hunt for goals for Galatasaray. As the Turkish top club announced on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, they broke up with the 35-year-old Colombian.

According to matching media reports, Falcao has already found a new club. Accordingly, the former world-class attacker will hire Rayo Vallecano, who have been promoted to La Liga, and an agreement should already be reached.

Galatasaray: Falcao to move to Rayo and return to Spain?

According to media reports, Rayo had originally tried to get Mariano Diaz as reinforcement for the storm center shortly before the end of the transfer window. Apparently they had already agreed on a loan with Real Madrid, but Diaz himself ultimately decided against a move.

Falcao, who once played for Chelsea, Manchester United and Porto, among others, moved from AS Monaco to Istanbul in 2019. The Colombian international played a total of 43 competitive games for Galatasaray, in which he scored 20 goals.

Rayo would be Falcao’s second stop in Spain. From 2011 to 2013 he played for Atletico Madrid, for the Colchoneros he scored 52 goals in LaLiga in two years.
