Szoboszlai probably has an exit clause in Leipzig, similar to Salzburg – but this should be set very high.
Last January, RB Leipzig brought Dominik Szoboszlai into the Bundesliga with an exit clause. The offensive player now apparently also has such a contract pass with the bulls, but the amount to be paid is significantly higher.
According to information from Sports picture the amount of the release clause in the contract of the 20-year-old is 70 million euros. Should a club be willing to pay the sum in the coming summer, 20 percent, or 14 million euros, would go to Szoboszlai’s ex-club RB Salzburg.
RB Leipzig: Szoboszlai only came from Salzburg in winter
The Hungarian only moved from Austria to the Saxons last winter transfer window for 22 million euros. There he has a working paper that is valid until 2026.
Before he moved to RB Leipzig, many other top clubs, including Bayern, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, BVB and Chelsea, were considered interested.
After he was only used sporadically in the past season, he has been on the pitch under new coach Jesse Marsch in all three Bundesliga games so far as well as in the DFB Cup match against Sandhausen. In the 4-0 home win two weeks ago against VfB Stuttgart, he stood out with two goals.
