Hamburger SV has secured their third win in four games in the 2nd Bundesliga and has climbed to third place, at least for the time being.

The North Germans prevailed 2-0 (1-0) at Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday. The Bundesliga relegated team is penultimate after four matchdays without winning a point. HSV, on the other hand, drew level on points with leaders SC Paderborn and second place 1. FC Heidenheim.

Eintracht Braunschweig also conceded their fourth defeat in the fourth game. The newly promoted lost 0:3 (0:1) at Holstein Kiel. The Kielers are currently fourth in the table with eight points. SV Sandhausen conceded two late goals in the 2:3 (1:1) at Karlsruher SC and slipped down to ninth place.
