The German gymnasts have won a team medal at European Championships for the first time. The quintet Kim Bui, Elisabeth Seitz (both Stuttgart), Emma Malewski, Pauline Schäfer-Betz (both Chemnitz) and Sarah Voss (Cologne) took third place in the all-around final and won bronze.

With 158.430 points, the squad of the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) at the European Championships in Munich was only beaten by the new European champions Italy (165.163) and Great Britain (161.164).
