According to the club’s official medical report, Zeballos “he suffered an injury to the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis with injury to the deltoid ligament and avulsion of the posterior malleolus of the right ankle”. In other words, he suffers from a rupture of the posterior part of the tibia – at the level of the ankle -, in addition to having compromised the internal ligament and another that joins the tibia and fibula in front.

The term that the specialists estimate for the ‘Chanquito’ to return to the courts is approximately between four and six months due to the type of injury he suffered: injury to the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis with injury to the deltoid ligament and avulsion of the posterior malleolus of the ankle law.

When will you be able to play again?

According to Dr Jorge Batista, Zeballos had a “good post-surgical evolution” and does not have the immobilized area. The Boca striker will not be able to support his right foot for three weeks, and then he will have to comply with partial support, using crutches.

Towards the end of September, you will be able to start with the rehabilitation works to think about the return to the playing fields, which may only take place in a period of four to six months.
