Streaming provider Dazn had major technical problems broadcasting the Bundesliga game between Bayern and Wolfsburg. That didn’t sit well with football fans given the recent price hike.
Bayern Munich won 2-0 against Wolfsburg early Sunday evening and is back at the top of the Bundesliga table. And even if it wasn’t the game of the year – the customers of the streaming provider Dazn would have liked to see it. But during the game, numerous football fans had to struggle with persistent technical problems.
Some DAZN users could not log in at all, others were involuntarily logged out again during the transfer, often several times. The fans vented their anger in angry Twitter messages, among other things. “Our colleagues are already working on fixing the problem as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Dazn tweeted during the first half in response to the complaints. And commentator Jan Platte also had to apologize live in the middle of the second half on behalf of the streaming service. “I hope everything is running smoothly and smoothly now,” said Platte. However, the complaints continued into the second half.
Dazn has doubled the monthly price
The users were particularly concerned because Dazn had raised the prices massively just a few months ago – from 15 to 30 euros a month. “I then paid about 1 euro per watched minute today,” summed up a Dazn customer on Twitter. Another regrets that an error occurred when trying to cancel. Perhaps, another suspects, Dazn will soon offer the solution in the form of a 50-euro premium subscription for everyone who wants the stream to run.
Many football fans who want to watch every game of their team live rely on a subscription to Dazn. The streaming provider has the live rights for Bundesliga games on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon, as well as for many Champions League games.
