V. Guimarães received Estoril and won with a single goal from Andre Silva. Moreno’s team won for the second time in a row and remains in the group of leaders of the League.
As soon as the referee Claudio Pereira blew the whistle for the start of the match, the inhabitants of Guimarães went on the attack. Andre Silva opened the scoring after a successful collective maneuver. Estoril reacted, went on the attack, but the score did not change before the break.
In the second half, the “canaries” were sharper and took command of the game, more possession of the ball. The removal of Gonzalo Estevez half an hour before the game due to the accumulation of yellow cards threw the claims of Nelson Verissimo’s team into the water.
Until the end, the team of V. Guimarães had only to manage the reaction of the opponent in order to guarantee a second victory in the competition.
